PROFILE
Ms Monica Dal Prà has extensive experience in both Italian and European competition law matters, regularly assisting Italian and foreign undertakings before the Italian Competition Authority and the European Commission. She has particular expertise in assisting undertakings with horizontal and vertical agreements and with concentrations. Her experience in coordinating multi-jurisdictional filings enables her to assist companies in assessing the legal obligation to notify across a number of countries and in coordinating local counsel in the notification process for obtaining clearances. She also represents Italian and foreign undertakings before the Italian Communications Regulatory Authority (AGCOM) and advises on regulatory and compliance aspects of the electronic communications legal framework.
She frequently assists clients by drafting codes of conduct for antitrust compliance programmes and running training sessions on antitrust matters. Ms Dal Prà’s varied professional experience has allowed her to develop in-depth knowledge of many sectors, including luxury goods (accessories, eyeglasses, jewellery, leather goods, and perfumes) motorvehicle distribution (cars, motorbikes and commercial vehicles), regulated sectors (telecommunications, energy, gas, postal services), audiovisual services (pay-tv, digital television), publishing, textile sector, food sector, investment funds, banking services, electronic communications.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Ms Monica Dal Prà first began working at the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Competition in 1994. A year later, she moved to the Brussels office of the Italian law firm Chiomenti, where she remained until 2001. She then moved to the Brussels office of Bonelli Erede Pappalardo, working first as a senior associate and later as a managing lawyer until her departure in 2015.
